Thrive From Within
02:00 PM - 03:00 PM
We welcome back Channe Fodeman, MSW, LCSW, once again as she provides another six-session educational series to improve emotional wellness and manage stress. These interactive sessions build on your knowledge to create improved self-awareness, develop a growth mindset and implement healthy living strategies. Treat yourself to improving your wellbeing...you deserve it!
The American Psychological Association defines resilience as the mental, emotional, behavioral flexibility and ability to adjust to both internal and external demands. Resilience is our internal tool that helps us get through difficulties in our life. Resiliency begins with how can I cope with this?
What is still good in my life? Visualize a resilient person, what qualities would they have? In this session we will learn how increasing resilience manages stress and increases meaningful growth.
Refreshments will be provided.
Kindly RSVP to Rebecca at rrosenstack@allegroliving.com or 954-289-9683 by Tuesday, February 24th.
Coping with Grief, Loss, and Ongoing Change
03:00 PM - 04:00 PM
Join Rebecca Harter of Therapy for Aging Adults for a thoughtful exploration of the many forms of loss experienced as we age—not only the loss of loved ones, but also changes in health, independence, daily routines, and familiar roles.
Together, we’ll discuss gentle ways to process grief, honor what has been lost, and cultivate resilience, meaning, and moments of peace in the present. This lecture will include guided reflection, shared experiences, and practical tools to support emotional well-being during times of change.
Refreshments will be provided.

I started attending an Alzheimer Support Group hosted by Allegro. The environment is always beautifully maintained, clean, fresh and inviting. The staff welcomes one with a smile and encouragement. I do not have someone living here, but when I am there residents are doing activities and are smiling. They also have Parkinsons Groups as well. Each occur monthly. They don't just offer the facility for meetings, they are there to listen and learn from caretakers. Rebecca also offers up beverages, fruit and deserts. It is a caring and compassionate feeling I get when I go. Should I need senior living care, I would give them look. I have been told they have not been sited with deficiencies in the past 3 years! Great job!
(8/02/24) My mother is in the AL at Allegro, and loves it. The facility seems more like a hotel than a senior living facility. The staff is so caring, and the happiness and well being of the residents is clearly their first priority. Annette, who assists my mother quite often, is so wonderful! It’s the people that make the place special. (Edit 11/19/24 - Just had to add an edit to note, once again, how marvelous is the staff at Allegro! Particularly Annette, whom my mother relies on so much, and is just SO GOOD at what she does. If you are looking for an IL/AL facility that truly cares about their residents, I urge you to check out Allegro.)
Great place to live. The staff is very helpful and very nice which makes a friendly and warm environment.
My Dad is 88 and has been at Allegro Parkland for exactly 2 months. He did not want to be there at first, but after 2 months he is VERY HAPPY and grateful to be at Allegro Parkland. He has a super comfortable room, a lovely patio, the food at Allegro is a 10/10 (the cuisine is superb), the other residents are very nice, and the staff go above and beyond in tending to their residents. Rebecca and Debra answer all your questions and help make a smooth transition, Fernanda is the most on top of it nurse and handles everything masterfully, and all the staff from Sharon to Alfredo to Sophia to Kerrean to Vijay to Winnie to Jeny to Maria… I really am in awe at how great Allegro is and how lucky my Dad is to be there. We saw a few other facilities and I didn’t want my Dad to move at any of the other places, but when you step into Allegro Parkland you are stepping into a place you truly want to live. Thank you so much, Allegro Parkland, for being such a perfect place for my Dad. I will continue to sing Allegro Parkland’s praises. I’m telling you - this is an amazing place you would be lucky to call home.
