At Allegro Harrington Park, we are fortunate to be surrounded by residents who inspire us every day—and Ruth Kornheiser is one of those special individuals who truly embodies compassion and generosity.
Ruth, a resident of our Independent Living community, dedicates much of her free time to volunteering at Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck, New Jersey. Many mornings, you’ll find her lending a helping hand to hospital staff and seniors alike, assisting with a variety of meaningful tasks. One of her most impactful roles includes helping transport non-ambulatory patients within the hospital, offering both physical support and a reassuring presence to those who need it most.
For Ruth, volunteering is more than just a way to pass the time—it’s a source of deep purpose and joy. She takes great pride in knowing that her efforts make a difference in the lives of others, and she is incredibly grateful for the opportunity to give back. Her kindness, sweetness, and compassion shine through in everything she does, and it’s no surprise that those around her describe her as having a true heart of gold.
When she’s not volunteering, Ruth remains an active and caring presence within Allegro. She looks out for her friends, enjoys quality time with her husband, and can often be found socializing and participating in her favorite community activities. Her warmth and positive spirit enrich the lives of everyone she encounters.
Ruth is truly one of a kind, and we are incredibly lucky to have her as part of the Allegro Harrington Park family. Her dedication to service and love for others remind us all of the powerful impact one person can make.
