Attracting the influential and connected, gala for grand opening of senior community makes local art scene night's spotlight
Stuart, Florida - April 29, 2011
In a setting replete with artistry, style and elegance, more than 100 people gathered to celebrate the Treasure Coast arrival of a community acclaimed for transforming senior living.
Local arts and culture served as the centerpiece of Friday’s grand opening gala for Allegro, which donated all proceeds for the event to the Arts Council of Martin County.
In an environment enlivened with balloon arches, a stunning sailfish ice sculpture and music by jazz vocalist Sybil Gage as well as performances by the Bach Children’s Orchestra, guests savored selections from the wine-tasting bar, carving stations, hand-rolled sushi display and a mouthwatering assortment of fresh seafood.
The audience included notables such as Jim Simoneau, chairman of the Arts Council’s board; Stuart City Commissioner Mike Mortell, Martin County commissioners Patrick Hayes, Doug Smith and Ed Ciampi, Steve Leighton, Rep. Tom Rooney’s Treasure Coast congressional liaison, and others.
With communities throughout Florida, Allegro emphasizes first-class facilities and five-star services, and the guests who toured its lush grounds got to witness just how that reputation is upheld. The “cruise-ship” amenities Allegro offers span a spectrum of personal services, including move-in assistance, fine dining, chef-prepared meals room-delivered, full-time concierge, spa treatment, on-site physical and occupational therapists, full housekeeping, grounds-keeping and linen services, and chauffeuring to outings for shopping and medical appointments.
Along with recreational, social and educational activities, the community features gourmet and bistro dining, outdoor pool, whirlpool, sauna and Jacuzzi, walking trails, gardens, theater with stadium seating, putting green, library and game room with billiards, among others.
While the atmosphere’s appeals to the active are obvious, Allegro strives to provide a rejuvenating experience for every resident. A full range of premium and professionally and medically staffed residential options exist for assisted living and memory care, each emphasizing residents’ health, happiness and dignity with supporting programs to provide creative outlets as well as social, recreational and wellness support.
