Allegro’s Executive Director, Dawn Winder, is Awarded 2016 Administrator of the Year

Dawn Winder, Executive Director at Allegro, was recently recognized as the 2016 Administrator of the Year by the Florida Assisted Living Association (FALA) at their annual conference in Orlando, Florida. This award recognizes top leaders in the senior living industry who excel in supporting seniors and families in their community.

Allegro is honored to have Winder as part of the Allegro family. She is innovative in creating every aspect from resident programs to the culture of her community, and she executes everything with a positive attitude and a caring heart.  Her compassion extends to the little moments that truly enrich the lives of her residents and families.

Allegro Announces 2014 Employee of the Year Winners

Allegro recognizes the value of our associates and each year we acknowledge a select few of our outstanding employees with our Employee of the Year Program. The Employee of the Year winners are nominated by his or her peers and management team. The final winners are selected by a panel of unanimous judges and each winner is awarded a check and recognition from the Allegro Leadership Team in front of peers, managers and residents.

Working in the senior living industry is a challenging but very rewarding job.  We are so grateful for these individuals who continually go above and beyond to improve the lives of our residents and families. Congratulations to the 2014 Employee of the Year winners.

Sherry Glass Selected As Finalist for the 2015 ALFA Hero Award

Allegro is pleased to announce that Sherry Glass, Allegro’s 2013 Employee of the Year, has been selected as a finalist for the 2015 Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA) Hero Awards. Each year, the ALFA Hero Awards recognize individuals who are ideal representatives of the hundreds of thousands of people serving in senior living communities. Five winners will be selected from the pool of 20 finalists and will be announced at the 2015 ALFA Conference & Expo, held May 5-7 in Tampa, Florida.

Sherry is a CNA and Med Tech at Allegro located in Tallahassee and has been with the company for more than five years. Her nurturing personality and commitment to residents makes her a shining star at Allegro. Several employees, residents and families have been touched by Sherry’s dedication to making each day a memorable one for the residents at Allegro. As a result, Sherry was at the top of many people’s mind when it came time to nominate individuals for the 2015 ALFA Hero Awards.

Congratulations to Allegro located in Jupiter who won the 2013 Senior Housing News Architecture & Design Award

The Senior Housing News Architecture & Awards recognize cutting edge design, excellence, and innovation in senior living. This was Allegro’s first year to submit our community in Jupiter as a nominee for this award. A team of expert panelists from the senior living industry reviewed all the nominations and Allegro located in Jupiter was the winner for the independent living category.

A key selling point was Allegro’s community integration and involvement with the local university that promotes socialization and intergenerational learning for both residents and students. Way to go development team! Read more about our recent achievement here.
